MODERN BAKERY MOSCOW - Russia / Eastern Europe
Visitor polling at MODERN BAKERY MOSCOW 2008 has shown that 68% of its 16,500 expert visitors show great interest in confectionary. This has two reasons:
1. The Russian baked goods industry has to broaden its product range. Confectionary products can be produced with small and flexbible machinery. Sunk costs for setting up artesanel or semi-automatized confectionary products thus remain low, whereas profit margins are much higher compared to the mass product bread.
2. The Living standard of Russian is rising. Parallel to the economic upturn, Russians spend more on more delicate and more expensive confectionary products, too.
Focus Confectionary
MODERN BAKERY MOSCOW is putting special emphasis to the confectionary industry for the above mentioned reasons. Small and medium-sized equipment, master classes and special exhibition areas for new ideas how to earn money with confectionary products thus complement the show.

The topic of confectionery will once again be the focus of MODERN BAKERY MOSCOW 2010. Both in the exhibition and in the conference area, the topic will be further developed and expanded. In particular, the proportion of international participation in the field of confectionery is to be expanded. Further additions to the supporting programme are also planned for 2010. Since the presentations of the master classes were especially popular with many industry visitors, these offerings in particular will be expanded.
